E10 Stats Update: Week 5

The Elite 10 is our list of the state's top seniors for the 2018 season. Each member was revealed, one-by-one, back in the summer. This is where we will track their stats this season. Remember, the Mr. Elite award brought to you by SERVPRO will be announced near the end of the season, with candidates and finalists to be to named beforehand, and each of these players is expected to be in the hunt for the honor given to the state's top player.

Brandon Turnage | Lafayette

Lafayette had a bye in week 5. The Commodores will travel to face West Point this Friday.

2018 totals: 3 INTs, 1 IR for TD, 1 pass deflection, 18 tackles, 2 TFL, 3 catches for 88 yards & 1 TD

John Rhys Plumlee | Oak Grove

Oak Grove had a bye in week 5. The Warriors will host George County this Friday.

2018 totals: 58/87(67%), 904 pass yards & 10 TDs, 31 carries for 294 rush yards & 3 TDs

Dreke Clark | Starkville

Starkville had a bye in week 5. The Yellowjackets will host Provine this Friday.

2018 totals: 59 carries for 488 rush yards(8.3 yards/carry) & 9 TDs, 6 catches for 23 yards, 100% completions, 1 completion for 9 yards

KJ Jefferson | North Panola

North Panola had a bye in week 5. The Cougars will host Mitchell(TN) this Saturday.

2018 totals: 52/81(64%), 865 pass yards & 7 TDs, 34 carries for 201 yards & 3 TDs

Kyziah Pruitt | Noxubee County

Injured; did not play in 41-0 loss to West Point.

2018 totals: 6 catches for 12 yards

Dannis Jackson | Sumrall

Passsing: 8/15 for 49 yards & 1 TD, Rushing: 13 carries for 129 yards & 1 TD in 33-20 win over Richton.

2018 totals: 39/58(67%), 528 pass yards & 5 TDs, 49 carries for 477 yards(9.7 yards/carry) & 5 TDs, 1 pass deflection on defense

Jerrion Ealy | Jackson Prep

Did not play in 59-10 win over Madison St. Joe.

2018 totals: 18 carries for 293 yards(16.3 yards/carry) & 12 TDs

Nakobe Dean | Horn Lake

Offense: 2 carries for 9 yards & 2 TDs, Defense: 7 tackles, 1 tackle for loss in 58-9 win over Lake Cormorant.

2018 totals: Defense - 30 tackles, 1 Interception, 1 sack, 3 tackles for loss, Offense - 5 carries for 59 yards & 4 TDs, 1 catch for 6 yards

Louis Paul Smith | D’Iberville

D’Iberville was on a bye in week 5. The Warriors will host Biloxi this Friday.

2018 totals: From his center position, Smith is anchoring an offensive line that is paving the way for a dominant D’Iberville offense. The Warriors averaged 8.4 yards per rush and totaled 616 yards yards on the ground in their first two games of the season.
