Catching Up With Quentin Wilfawn

SES: Talk about non region play. What did you find out about your team through these first five games?

Wilfawn: "I think we showed a lot of people that we are better than they thought. We also showed that we will fight the entire game no matter what happens or how bad things are going."

SES: Talk about your defense. Y'all have not allowed an offensive touchdown in three of five games this year. What have you seen from your guys on that side of the ball?

Wilfawn: "I knew our defense had something to prove this year. We have a lot of talented guys on that side of the ball and a lot of seniors. Our goals every game is to shut out our opponents."

SES: How do you and your team feel about finally getting to play 6A ball now week in and week out? How would y'all describe y'all's confidence going into region play?

Wilfawn: "We are looking forward to it. It will be fun getting to play new teams. We are confident but at the same time we know we have to come to work every day."

SES: Going in against Southaven, what will it take to get the W and start region play off with a bang going into Batesville next week?

Wilfawn: "Being disciplined. We have to be disciplined against the RPO and read option and contain their athletes."

SES: If you could listen to any song right before you went out and played, what would it be and why?

Wilfawn: "I would listen to Love Sosa by Chief Keef because it gets me pumped up."

SES: What is something people may be surprised to learn about you?

Wilfawn: "Lots of people think Oxford is city boys but I love to fish."
