Strong Preparing For Final Season At USP
South Panola's Jordan Strong is working hard this offseason as he prepares for his final season in a South Panola uniform, a season that he hopes ends with he and his teammates hoisting a 6A State Championship trophy.
This is also Strong's first spring under the leadership of Head Coach Ricky Woods.
"It's different, the workouts are more difficult but it has made us a lot stronger than we were last year, Coach Woods is one of the greatest high school football coaches ever so I listen to everything he says and try to do it at the best of my ability," Strong told SES Mississippi on how the offseason with Coach Woods was going.
Strong has had an eventful offseason picking up his first couple of offers, first an offer from ICC following the Fortius Project and then his first D1 offer from Arkansas State in March.
"I was excited because every high school athletes dream is to get a division one scholarship, but the offer just made me want to work even harder," Strong on receiving his first D1 offer from Arkansas State.
Strong and several of his South Panola teammates may be making another appearance at the Fortius Project this weekend at Northeast Community College, where in the past they have proven to be some of the top athletes in the State of Mississippi.
South Panola will definitely be a team you will want to watch out for in 2017 as they take the field with legendary Coach Woods back at the helm of a program that is hungry for another State Championship.
