Hardy Plans To Make An Impact At Fortius Project



When the Fortius Project rolls around on February 25th at ICC, there will be no shortage of talent from Amory High School. Tamarcus Hardy a 2018 5'9 150lb cornerback from Amory, will be joining five of his Panther teammates as they compete with some of the best talent Mississippi has to offer at the Fortius Project.

Tamarcus was a key part of the Panther defense that helped lead Amory to a 4A Region 1 Title and an 11-3 overall record. It was one of Amory's best seasons since their 1998 State Championship season.

Hardy finished the season with 32 tackles and was tied for second on the team with 9 pass breakups.

In his two years on the Varsity squad, Tamarcus has totaled up 75 tackles, 16 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions.

"Covering the comeback and bounce routes to perfection," Tamarcus told SES Mississippi on what part of his game he would like to improve this offseason.

"Aggressive and Fast," Tamarcus on how he would describe the way he plays defense, to people that have never watched him play. Aggressive and fast, accurately describes the way Hardy plays, he runs a 4.7 40 and brings a big hit when he gets to the ball carrier.

When asked if there was a College or NFL cornerback that he tried to model his game after, Tamarcus told SES Mississippi, "Anthony Averett from College and Patrick Peterson from the NFL".

Anthony Averett is a corner for the Alabama Crimson Tide, with a track background just like Tamarcus. Patrick Peterson is a star NFL corner for the Arizona Cardinals, and former All-American at LSU.

Coming off one of Amory's best seasons in almost 20 years, Hardy and his teammates are looking to win the 4A State Championship in 2017.

"Go undefeated in our division again. The team and I would love to accomplish winning a State Title. So we're working hard everyday to make it happen," Tamarcus on his goals for his Senior season.

Tamarcus Hardy is looking improve and get some recognition at the Fortius Project on February 25th at ICC.

"To get better as a player and get my name out there, so I can receive a couple offers," Tamarcus on what he wants to accomplish at the Fortius Project.

Amory will be a team to watch in 4A next season, as they look to compete for a State Championship.
