Moore Ready To Compete At Fortius Project
Recadre Moore is one of the most recent outstanding athletes to sign up for the Fortius Project combine at Itawamba Community College on February 25th.
Moore is a 6'3 240lb 2018 linebacker from Kemper County, where he was a part of the stifling defense that led the Wildcats to a 15-1 season and a 3A State Championship. He received his first offer in May from Jackson State University.
"I feel like it was okay, could have been better, I have a lot to work on this summer," Moore told SES Mississippi on his Junior season.
Moore finished the season with 113 tackles which was good enough for second best on the team. He terrorized opponents' backfields all season long, finishing with a team high 13 tackles for loss.
Recadre also led the Kemper County defense with five forced fumbles throughout the championship season.
The Wildcats entered the 2016 season coming off of an impressive 11-3 campaign in 2015 where they advanced to the 3rd round of the playoffs before being defeated by the eventual 3A State Champion Collins Tigers. Their 2016 season was one of the most impressive throughout the state. After falling in the opener to Columbus, the Wildcats rattled off 15 straight wins en route to winning the title.
"We have the talent and we still have the pieces to win another championship, it' a mindset thing you have to want it. We will put in hard work through the offseason and I'm sure we will win another championship," Recadre told SES Mississippi on what the Wildcats need to do to repeat as 3A State Champions.
After his impressive Junior season, Moore is looking forward to the "competition" that will be at the Fortius combine at Itawamba Community College on February 25th.
The Fortius Project is a series of combines held throughout the state during the spring. It is built to not only allow athletes a measuring stick for their competition but also sheds light on areas they will need to focus on during the off-season.
"I'm looking forward to the competition that's going to be there, I'm looking to improve my man to man and covering skills", Moore told SES Mississippi.
