Catching Up With Kylin Hill
Columbus running back Kylin Hill is considered to be one of the best at what he does. He and the Falcons are sitting right in the thick of things heading into the 2016 season.
Hill was recently named to the 2016 SES Elite 10 joining Clinton’s Cam Akers, Starkville’s Willie Gay, Grenada’s CJ Avery and MRA’s Saahdiq Charles. The next member will be announced on Monday morning at 10:00.
We recently caught up with the very busy Kylin Hill.
SES: How has summer been going for you guys?
Kylin: “Everything has been going good. Our chemistry has skyrocketed. We all are just having fun as a team.”
SES: What are you working on personally to get you better for the coming season?
Kylin: “My strength. That’s why I’m hitting the weight room hard. I know it’s going to pay off during the season.”
SES: What young guys on your team do you think will make a splash in 2016?
Kylin: “Kenneth Martin and Devon King.”
SES: Who are you most excited to play in 2016?
Kylin: “South Panola. Because of the simple fact that they beat us last year and basically because they are the team to beat every year in 6A.”
SES: What are you hoping to accomplish this season as an individual and as a team?
Kylin: “I just want to crack the 2,000-yard mark and help my team. Whatever the need me to do, no matter what position they want me to play, I’ll do it. As a team it’s simple. We want to win it all.”
SES: If sports were not an option for you, how would you spend your time and what would you want to be?
Kylin: “I’ve always wanted to enter the military. It runs in my family. The majority of them have been in the military. It’s a family thing.”
